Tachonta Wooten Ammah
Co-Founder
Tachonta was born in North Carolina. Being a military child has afforded her the ability of living in different countries to learn about other cultures and languages. She has studied Italian and received bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature with minor in Public Health from University of South Florida. While studying at U.S.F Tachonta was a member of and served as president of Minority Pre-Professional Science Society (MPSS). Tachonta co-founded the non-profit organization The Project S.H.I.N.E. Inc. which assisted high schoolers with the following: tutors, finding scholarships, completing college applications, college tours, mock FCAT/GRE/SAT preparation tests. The Project S.H.I.N.E. also conducted various service events for the community. Throughout her life she has volunteered at many community events and for various non-profit organizations such as, not limited to: Kaboom, Faces of Courage and American Legion. Tachonta also has a degree in Graphic Arts which she uses for personal endeavors. Tachonta’s professional career includes working for sign design company, manager with AMC theatres, as well as a 20 year on going career as Flight Attendant with Delta Airlines.
Tachonta believes learning and sharing are perpetual, using these to elevate others is incalculable.
Bequita Mahama
Co-Founder
Bequita is a social entrepreneur who partners with other entrepreneurs to invest in the growth and development of Africa. She was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and now lives continentally, between Atlanta, Georgia and Accra, Ghana, West Africa. She has spent the last 10 years of her life helping to create new and innovative solutions to complex environmental and economic issues on the continent. Bequita understands that what truly drives independence is food security, food sovereignty and economic freedom. The key is empowering communities by providing opportunities and ownership. She has landed three articles discussing her business AquafarmsAfrica on Forbes.com. In addition to her extensive experience as a social entrepreneur, Bequita is a wife, mother, photographer, founder and COO of AquaFarmsAfrica, founder of Sistercare (an NGO) and Vice-president of two NGOs (Beds 4 Africa and iNetwork,Inc). She also sits on the board of directives for Sankofa.co.
LaTrice Wooten
LaTrice was born in Panama City, Panama. After attending the University of Central Florida, LaTrice began her Career with Coca-Cola. She has been with the company for 16 years and has been a Learning and Development Coordinator for the past 12 years. Her main responsibilities are leadership development and creating and implementing comprehensive learning strategies for the organization. A part of her role is designing training content, creating e-learning videos and facilitating training sessions. LaTrice’s focus lies in developing others, communication and other professional skills. Additionally, LaTrice has served as Project Managers on numerous initiatives. As Project Manager she was responsible for; planning, budgeting, overseeing and documenting all aspects of a specific project.
LaTrice’s passion is to develop and inspire others.
As a lifelong learner, LaTrice continues to cultivate her talent. Some of her certifications include, Change Management (Leading Yourself and Others), Franklin Covey’s 5 Choices, Effortless Experience™ Coaching Capabilities Builder, Brand U, Communication Styles and MAGIC.
Felicia Imes-Griffin
Felicia is of New Brunswick, New Jersey. She traveled considerably as a military child. Her upbringing encouraged her to use the world as her classroom and let the U.S. Army be her guide. The honesty and integrity, she exemplified while in service to the country carried over to civilian life in real estate and property management, which cultivated her communication and negotiation skills. Felicia has a degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Homeland Security. Felicia has a certification in CompTIA A+ computer programming. She devotes her time to family and helping others. She also enjoys church as well as volunteering at her children’s school.
Rena Kelley
Rena Kelley served in the United States Air Force where she worked as an Emergency Medical Technician in the Emergency Room and the Cardiac Ward for 4 years. She then transitioned her career to work with Humana serving Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial members with their health insurance. She has been with the company for 15 years and is currently a Consumer Service Operations Supervisor. Her main responsibilities are leading and developing new advisors that provide face to face customer service in provider centers. She has a working relationship with provider contractors and Center managers from the provider centers throughout Tampa, South Florida, Atlanta and Chicago. Rena is also a Certified Life coach and conducts training to help members control their diabetes. Rena loves to share her knowledge and motivate people.
Ansylla Ramsey
After leaving corporate America in 2000, Ansylla started her own holistic hair care business. She began teaching natural hair care and styling in 2003 in the US, and in 2007 she began teaching internationally. By offering professional workshops across the US, in Canada, the UK, France and online, Ansylla has helped students on 3 continents start or maintain successful hair care businesses.
In 2015, she began seeking a real financial education and started saving in gold and learning about cryptocurrency. By 2017, she began a new chapter by closing her hair care business. Having time and location freedom, she supports her international business team as they help others move toward financial freedom. She is very proud to be the founder of the Group Economics 2.0 Facebook Group – a movement that combines the traditional concept of group economics and the latest technology affecting the global economy.
In June 2020, Ansylla started Sisters in Crypto to enable women in the crypto space to come together and give back to women globally using cryptocurrency.
Ansylla is fluent in Spanish and French, and conversational in Portuguese.
Joyce Quarshie
Well respected and influential member of the community. Ms. Quarshie believes in preservation of life, culture and tradition. Ms, Quarshie is the wisdom that drives Beds 4 Africa. As owner and Curator of BERJ art gallery Accra, Ghana, she has combined her love and appreciation of art with support and showcases for talented local artists.
Jennifer Aboagye
Originally from DC area of the USA, she has a professional background originating in dental and medical fields. Once in Ghana she established herself as CEO of HeMann Consults. As company head with her partner, she has organized multiple sporting events in Ghana for over 8 years and she issues her passion for the betterment of her adopted country. In her personal life, she is happily married with 4 children, 3 pets and resides in Accra, Ghana.
